Aura (hospitality)

Title: Aura

Client: New York Cancer and Blood Specialists

Location: Buffalo NY

Art Site: Mezzanine/seating area

Vision and Goal: As a cancer treatment center, we knew clients would return at intervals for treatment. With this in mind, our primary goal was to create an art piece that would reveal something new with each visit. We also wanted the artwork to evoke a sense of calm and serenity. ‘Aurora’ achieves this with its prisms and dichroic glass, which gently sway with the ambient airflow, casting vibrant colors and reflections throughout the space. Visible from all three floors of the building, it creates an ethereal, soothing experience for all who encounter it.

Second goal: To create an ethereal art piece that leaves the viewer feeling calm and soothed. With its prisms and dichroic glass, “Aura” gently moves with ambient airflow casting colors and reflections around the room. Viewed on three floors
